For today’s woman, multitasking work at the office and chores at home is just part of daily life. Thus, there is very little time to take care of your skin, eyes, lips, hair, etc. Skimping on sleep is not a solution. Lack of sleep immediately shows up in the form of dark circles under your eyes. You need to get your full quota of sleep for the formation of new skin cells and to be able to perform at your highest level mentally and physically. There are, however, a few things you can do before bedtime that will enhance your beauty while you sleep.
Completely Remove All Makeup: Use a makeup remover every night. Sleeping with makeup can damage the collagen fibres of your skin resulting in breakouts and hastening the aging process.
Cleanse: After removal of makeup, a cleanser must be used to remove the dirt and pollutants that have accumulated on your skin. Washing your face with water will ensure pores are unclogged and your skin will breathe throughout the night.
Moisturize: Use a moisturizer which contains hyaluronic acid. It keeps the skin smooth and hydrated.
Eye Cream: The skin under your eyes is very delicate and requires special care. Your eye cream should be stored in a fridge and applied around your eyes when it is cool. This soothes and prevents puffiness of the eyes.
Sleep on a Silk or Satin Pillowcase: These materials cause less friction between your skin and the pillowcase softening wrinkles and fine lines.
Sleep on Your Back: This is the best position to avoid facial lines, undereye sagging, and wrinkles.
Use a Humidifier: This is a great way to moisturize your skin while you are sleeping especially if the weather is dry.
Follow these tips meticulously and you will wake up every day looking and feeling gorgeous.
